Elenolic Acid structure

Elenolic Acid

Elenolic Acid is a glucoside with antioxidant, antibacterial and antiviral properties.

The elenolic acid in olive leaf extract is a full-spectrum antimicrobial, it destroys or deters the growth of numerous viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. As an anti-viral, elenolic acid inactivates viruses by preventing virus shedding, budding and assembly, which stops their replication.

Elenolic Acid combats free radicals and boosts the immune system (against herpes and cold sore viruses, colds and fungi)

"Elenolic acid derivatives are the most potent antimicrobial compounds in Olea europaea".
